Media ( Body Image)

Body image is all about the way you perceive your body and how others do ,Media is a way of communication and communicating ideas to the world using different mediums such as the net , TV , or printed .

("Dr Ian Campbell, a Nottingham GP and spokesman for the charity Weight Concern, said the way the media glamorized thinness made it harder for obese patients to lose weight.(2010)
This is a psychological disorder because the patients see that the media portray thin people in adverts etc which makes them want to be Like the women in the adverts so badly that that neglect their health which it slows down the metabolism which burns down the fat .

This is just one of many magazines that portray Thin women that have also been airbrushed to look better on the cover.
Some celebrities are happy for the magazines to airbrush their photos so that they look perfect but you can get some that are already happy with how they look and do not mind having their photo original printed for the world to see like Britney spears .

To the (left) is the airbrushed image and to the (right) is the natural image the one that has not be altered.
I feel like if more celebrities were to show that they are happy with how they look and show their unaltered images  then maybe more women would feel more confident with the way they look..
